It has a 1.2-inch display and is powered by the faster Qualcomm SW5100 chipset. The watch also features a slightly larger 306mAh battery and will likely need to be charged every 1.5 days rather than at the end of each day.
In addition to sensors inherited from its predecessor, the Pixel Watch 2 has a new heart rate sensor, a new skin temperature sensor, and a new skin dermatological sensor.
The wearable also informs you if you’ve slept well and shows various health-related statistics, including calories burned, steps taken, heart rate, blood oxygen, and skin temperature variation.
It also supports a variety of workouts, including but not limited to aerobics, cycling, basic training, HIIT, kickboxing, martial arts, pilates, running, strength training, swimming, weightlifting, and yoga.
The Pixel Watch 2 also features a new feature called Body Response, which uses different sensors to inform you of any potential stress events. If it detects that you’re stressed, it will give you some options to help, such as a guided breathing session.
Another new feature is Safety Check, which will alert your friends and family if you don’t arrive at your destination after a certain period of time.
The Pixel Watch 2 costs $349.99, but you can save $40 on it now. This may not seem like a big discount, but considering that the watch is only a month old, it’s actually a significant discount and we don’t know if a similar discount will be offered again soon.
