Nothing has been generating updates for Phone (1) and Phone (2) devices quite frequently. The latest update, Nothing OS 2.5.2, brings a series of improvements and bug fixes to the company’s latest device, the Phone (2).
But first, let’s start with the key features of Nothing OS 2.5.2. Thanks to the update, Nothing Phone (2) users will have direct access to the music preview feature of the Glyph Interface. In addition, it is now possible to set up your network directly through Quick Settings without unlocking the device, a nifty adjustment that reduces the number of clicks you normally need to do this.
Several improvements delivered in the latest update enrich the user experience and offer more overall stability. Here are the most important improvements included in Nothing OS 2.5.2:
- Refined visual effects in the lock screen interface.
- Optimized display of icons in the status bar.
- Improved fingerprint unlock success rate.
- Refined transition animations for the Photos widget.
- Improved call and connection quality stability.
The list of bug fixes is much longer than the list of improvements, but that’s how things are when you’re creating your own version of Android. Here’s everything that has been fixed (or improved) in Nothing OS 2.5.2:
- Improved game panel FPS to ensure it is updated regularly.
- Fixed an issue that caused the Glyph button to be activated automatically in certain scenarios.
- Resolved a case in which the volume changed automatically during Flip to Glyph.
- Fixed an issue that caused Glyph to be turned off automatically when it was not within the sleep time schedule.
- Fixed music playback so that it does not play during incoming calls in vibrate mode.
- Refined functions to ensure that double tapping the power button can initiate the Wallet.
- Resolved an issue that caused the battery percentage not to appear in the status bar.
- Fixed stability issues with NFC functionality.
According to Nothing’s statement, the update is rolling out in waves, so not all users will receive it at the same time. Make sure to check for the update if you have not been notified yet.
