Nothing’s (2nd) February 1st announcement, the company led by Carl Pei also shared that it will release a developer kit for the Glyph interface of the Nothing Phone. In other words, if you want to unleash your inner Glyph control maniac and make the lights on the back of the Nothing Phone obey you.
There is a funny and informative thread on X/Twitter made by user Rapid Zapper showing what the Glyph Interface could do when treated with the Developer Kit.
The user notes that he explored the SDK (Software Development Kit) a few weeks ago.
First, there’s the Glyph-based memory game, Simone, inspired by the classic electronic game Simon. On the Nothing Phone, the Glyph acts as the game’s interface:

The final version of the game is ready, inspired by the classic electronic game Simon, using Glyph as the game interface, get ready to spend hours playing with the back of your phone

Next, the SDK tester shows how the back of the Nothing Phone’s Glyph is designed to communicate in Morse code:

Looking through user suggestions for new Glyph features, I found Morse to be an interesting example, type some text and play the Morse code with light and sound! A fun gadget to show off the Glyph interface to your friends.

Furthermore, there is a way for the Glyph Timer introduced in the Phone (2) through Nothing OS 2.0 to have support from the Google Timer:
Integration with Google Timer and Glyph Progress:

When Nothing OS 2.0 introduced the Glyph Timer on the phone (2), many users requested support from the Google Timer app for Glyph, so I tried to do something about it… pic.twitter.com/scEhEzsysa– RapidZapper (@WaterFlashRZ) February 1, 2024
Lastly, future work may bring mass synchronization of the Glyph for a collective “show” at events with other Nothing Phones out there:

Many have expressed interest in syncing the Glyph for a collective “show” at events with other Nothing Phone owners. I’m in the early stages of developing this solution. Stay tuned! pic.twitter.com/Evmfe8WBI3– RapidZapper (@WaterFlashRZ) February 1, 2024
