If you use Google services like Gmail, YouTube, or Google Drive, you will soon notice a change in the appearance of the login pages.
announced today that it is updating the appearance of its login pages with a cleaner and simplified design.
This new aesthetic aligns these pages with the Material Design language used in other Google products, such as Gmail and Search, creating a unified and familiar experience. As previously suggested, this redesign will be implemented on the web and on mobile devices.
The new look features the usual elements of Material Design, such as emphasizing rounded corners and soft colors. There is now a pill-shaped “Next” button and the “Email or phone” field is placed to the right of the Google logo and the “Sign in” header. The familiar language switcher, Help, Privacy, and Terms links remain directly at the bottom as they were before.
The main change is purely visual – think of it as a fresh coat of paint. You will see a cleaner interface and a layout optimized for the screen you are using. Most importantly, however, is knowing that the way you sign in remains the same as you will continue to use your familiar email (or phone number) and password. It’s a small change, but it makes the login process a bit more intuitive and easier to use.
Página de login antiga x nova do Google na web
The redesign is being rolled out gradually to all personal Google Account and Workspace users and applies to all devices – phones, tablets, and computers. The expected completion date for the rollout is March 4th, so expect to see this new login page in less than two weeks. Both end users and workspace administrators do not need to take any action, as this is a simple visual update.
